Artist's Statement Through these photos I decided to tell all the different interests and passions I have . The first photo of the pocket watch represents my heritage and where my family comes from. My family comes from South Africa and this pocket watch was passed down to me from my grandpa which his grandpa gave to him. The second photo is a photo of my bike. I love to ride my bike with friends around Portland and it's fun to look at scenery while you ride. This is one of my favorite activities. The third photo is a photo of stocks in the Wall Street Journal. I want to work in business when I grow up so I thought this represented my passion well. The fourth photo is a photo of things I have collected while traveling over the past couple of years this represents travel which is another passion of mine. The fifth and sixth photos are photos of shoes and accessories I have, these represent fashion which is an interest of mine. The seventh photo is a photo of some of my golf balls because I love to play golf. I love to play with family and friends and it has always been something I enjoyed. The last photo is a picture of me and my friend eating lunch together because I love to hangout with my friends and I do it almost every weekend. Windows and Doors
Artist's Statement This first photo is a view from my bedroom window and is saying you are now about to see my view of the world through windows and doors. I purposefully focused on the condensation because I think the pattern the little water droplets make is beautiful. The second photo is a photo of my cat Venus, she loves going outside and I think this picture is perfect because you can see the reflection of the trees in the glass, and it is almost like you can see what she is thinking about. The third photo is a beautiful photo of a Douglas Fir tree through the reflection of a window, the reflection is so clear it is almost like a mirror. The fourth photo is a photo of my front yard through beveled glass, I love this photo because it is so bright and clear and there is no imperfections in the glass. The fifth photo is a photo of a keyhole and represents that you are only getting a glimpse into my view of the world. The last photo is a photo of my backyard I like this photo because it is very colorfula and has a lot of red, green, and yellow.
