I adopted Venus on July 5th, 2015. I still can't believe how long I have had her. She was three months old when we first adopted her now she's going on 6 years old. She was adopted from the Oregon Humane Society. Her fur is a beautiful mixture of grey, brown, and orange and her eyes are green. She is an outdoor cat and loves to cause mischief with other cats around the neighborhood, additionally she love to climb trees and chase birds and squirrels. She mean a lot to me even though she can't talk. Here are some various photos from different parts of her life and growing up from a kitten to a cat.
Here is an old video from 2015 of when we first adopted her.
My Family's Relationship with Venus
My Mom and Venus
I asked my mom her favorite things about Venus and this is what she said. "Her Playfulness" is the first thing she said that comes to mind. Unlike many other cats she is not shy. She loves to play with toys even if it's with someone she never met before. When we first went to the Oregon Humane Society we had several cats in mind we wanted to adopt. We took 3 different cats into a play area, both of the other cats were extremely shy and wanted to hide. However Venus was the first one to want to play. Another trait my mom said she likes about Venus was her "Ability to love". Some cats are known for their independence however Venus loves to be around her family and can't bear not getting attention for a day.
Adopt a Pet!
Especially during hard times like these there are many animals that are looking for homes. I encourage you if you're interested to check out the Oregon Humane Society's website to see the great work they do. I have had a great experience with them and you will too!
